Sexual deviancy ?

This maybe going out on a limb here but I got a "sexual deviant" vibe from Chucky in regards to the women throughout the trailer ? The "don't forget to kiss Chucky thing" where he's supposed to be unnasumed while barb kisses him and seemingly doesn't want to, and the leering at the babysitter, whom was set up to be somewhat familiar slasher movie fare, young girl going to investigate a noise. Just seems a little suggestive. Did anybody else pic that up?

I ask myself exactly the same question see each other it is true that Chucky countered strange in this trailer and one also see a scene in 0:58 of the video in which Chucky seems stuck a woman and we can believe that she is naked... I think that we shall have the right for a small scene of " sexual torture ".
( It is just my way of thought).

I agree. Some people may think I'm jumping out on a limb here simply because it's so different from what they've established for the character previously. I've come to this conclusion piggy backing off what I was saying in the news and updates thread, where this film has been impied to elaborate on the character of of Charles Lee Ray somewhat prior to the events of Child's Play and at the root of the character he is a deviant murderer who

which is interesting arch that was more comically elaborated on in older movies but if this is explored in a whole new darker direction which is what this film is said to be, that could be potentially creepy.

I think that aspect of Chucky, even in the body of this doll is a predator and maybe gets some gratification out of women still. The trailer seems to somewhat imply that to me. Granted it is heavily edited, more then likely the scene with him leering at the baby sitter while she investigates the shower curtain, is edited but my point is the trailer all around seems to imply his hostility towards woman somewhat, with slight sexual undertones, like Barbs reluctant good night kiss to chucky, the way they choose to edit that evil gaze to make it seem like he was stalking the attractive young babysitter,

I see where you're coming from but I don't see it that way. Sure, we may get a little T&A in this one (would make a change actually to see real tits rather than doll 'organs') but I think it just appears sexual because of all the women. I think the reason that it's full of women is simply because - and I'm not being sexist here - women seem more of an easier target instead of Chucky stalking a house full of males.

I agree somewhat but I still think there's some implication in it. I'm not implying that there's a rape scene or anything like that I'm thinking more along the lines of the character of Jill. Way back when it was rumored that

so the chracter seemingly already has sexual implications behind her even being there on top of the fact that she's a nubile young potential victim with a murderer running around the house. I'm thinking Chucky catches Jill changing or something or maybe

and he gets a little hot and bothered which makes him a little knife happy. Kind of like how they set up Michael Myers watching his sister have sex with her boyfriend as the precedent to all his murders. Like he gets something out of killing these young attractive couples .

Good point - it could definitely happen, I suppose Chucky does have a sexual appetite as we've seen in Bride and Seed. We shall wait and see

Mhmm, I just think it'd be interesting if they kind of play into what those funny movies established but in a more serious themed movie. Potentially very creepy character development.

I can definitely see that making for uncomfortable viewing and it'd be an angle we've never explored with Chucky too.

There doesn't have to be sex or nudity for there to be implicated or suggestive sexual themes.

I might be mistaking what the whole idea of this type of post is about, I'm a bit confused on the whole "Sexual Deviancy" title. But if Chucky is acting different towards women then we've seen him act before? We're getting more Human Chucky etc..MY idea of a good example of this is when I was reading about Child's Play 1 opening scene, the film crews had once stated the film was 3 hours long, and had Detective Norris dressed as a hooker to lure Chucky in, thus you then see him running away and being gunned down in the toy store once he realized. THAT was taken out..maybe that was a little key to what we're getting in Curse, I've probably missed the whole topic...MY appologies.

No you're on point. My whole theory is that we're seeing the more human side of chucky in a bad way. He gets turned on by done of these women, I'm not saying they need to turn chucky into a full on sexual predator where that's his sole drive to kill but like i said we may see a side of chucky that previously was only explored in a comedic way, ie his sexual appetites in that he likes to kill women.

It'd be cool to see an unassuming Jill changing in front of chucky while unaware of whom she is changing in front of with him leering at her like that .
Its obvious he gets if killing people it'd just be weird to be reminded that he gets off like that.

it seems like the whole sexual deviancy plays in about most horror movies,i believe it has to do with the fact that most of these movies focus's on victims that are coming of age into sexual themes, and at the end the virgin seems to win, that's why I don't think that has happened with chucky since most of his victims aren't teens/young adults. and the whole idea of detective Norris dressed as a hooker I find to be so funny! could you imagine? lol

That's precisely the reason why I think it actually will for the first time play a role in these films. This seems to be more along the lines of traditional horror, where as the story and murders were more plot specific and linear, there seems to be more traditional slasher elements in this film.
