So, as well all know it is no big secret that this movie want well recieved by many fans, and general movie goers. It has it's fans, and it has it's place in the franchise.
Now that Don and friends are taking the franchise back to formula, this will be considered a bit of a red herring for the franchise.
Now I would like to aske my fellow Chucky fans, what did you think Seed was going to be like before you finally saw it. Try not to think about the trailers, I', talking when it was just all talk.
Now for me, the first I heard about Seed was when I went to go see "The Punisher" back in spring or summer in 2004. It was the teaser trailer, which looking back was very mis leading.
Now I didn't have any ideas as far as a story goes, and I thought of 1 in a million type scenerios for Chucky and Tiffany's ressurection (which even my far fetched ideas were better than what we got) I even thought that maybe Chucky was reborn into this baby doll and that is how he comes back. But then I thought "what about Tiffany?" So then I figured thought of another plot line in which a crazy forensic scientist took Glen from the crime scene after Bride and figured out how to ressurect Chucky and Tiffany using DNA from the other dolls from said crime scene. A little far fetched but better than a cheap 3 word spell.
One thing that got my focus of attention was of course the "Seed" I remember a working title that was called "Son of Chucky" or "Son of a Chucky" So i was surprised with the Seed title, but it did make more sense to the story, even though executed badly.
For some reason I was think that Glen (or what would end up being Glen) would have been half the size of Chucky and Tiffany. It stands to reason that if taking place in real time, Glen would have been 6. Logically if Chucky and Tiffany were adults, then glen should be a much smaller 6 year old doll child. I also thought he would have looked more like Chucky did in the first 3 movies, and perhaps even more twisted. I did like the "not a killer" angle for added irony, but again... poorly executed.
What are some of the ideas you had about this movie before you finally saw it?
