Ok, I will try to be very detailed about the whole movie, and please note this movie also leaves some ambiguity and this is the version based on how I connected the dots.
After Child's Play 3, Tiffany gets Chucky's remains by bribing a cop and reconstructs the doll leaving him with the last stitched appereance. She DOES NOT get her soul transferred into the bride doll by Chucky.
Tiffany is involved in mailing this doll to the family of this film. It arrives without a sender and when the woman from this film calls FedEx (or whatever company) they tell her the doll came from an evidence depot.
In the house where Chucky is mailed live a woman on a wheelchair, and her older mother. The night the Chucky doll arrives, the mother dies by apparently commiting suicide. The next day the sister from the handycapped woman arrives along with her husband, live-in nanny, daughter (the little girl from the trailer) and a priest.
The priest is the first to die as Chucky poisons him making him get in a car accident while driving away from the house, the police gets alerted.
In the house, there is a lot of discrepancies between the family. They give the Chucky doll to the girl to keep her distracted. She disappears and everyone gets worried. People begin to get murdered (beginning by the live-in nanny, etc). The handycapped woman is suspicious of the doll and after Googling she finds about the Andy Barcley story. At this point it is clear that this Chucky is the stitched version that Tiffany had sewn back. Chucky reveals himself to her and tries to kill her. When she is about to die, he opens up to her about his intentions.
-Flashback-
This family used to live in Chicago in the late 80's. The older woman who dies in the beginning is pregnant of the handycapped girl, while the sister is already around 5 years old. She is married to a man. During some neighborhood BBQ Charles Lee Ray, unsuspected of being the Lakeshore Strangler, shows up and is welcomed by the neighbors. He obsessively falls in love with the mother. He kills the father and kidnaps the mother, making her live in her basement tied up (unclear for how long). She somehow manages to call the police and when they are arriving, he stabs her in her pregnant belly, leaving the fetus paraplegic (that's why the woman has always needed a wheelchair). He runs away from the cops, who chase him down to a toy store. He is shot and before dying transfer his soul into the first Chucky doll, which sets everything for Child's Play I.
-Flashback ends-
Because of the dead priest, the police arrives and finds everyone dead except the paraplegic woman. They take her to the trial where she blames Chucky (piece of evidence) and she is declared insane and sent to the asylum. As the trial ends, a cop takes the Chucky doll to his car. He is calling a "client" to set something up, when Tiffany, the client, slits his throat.
The little girl now lives with her paternal grandmother. Tiffany mails Chucky to her again. When Chucky arrives he tries to transfer his soul into her body. The movie ends.
After the credits Andy receives the by mail, so we can presume that he was not succesful in transfering his soul into the little girl. As Chucky is getting out of the box by cutting it with a Knife, Andy grabs a rifle and shoots him. This is the end.
This makes everything pick up right after the first 5 minutes of Bride of Chucky, but everything that happened afterwards and during Seed of Chucky didn't happen according to this movie (or perhaps he doesn't die from Andy's shot, and later transfer Tiffany into the doll, setting up everything from Bride of Chucky and its continuation.
That's it in a nutshell for what I heard. Tell me what you think if it's true or not?
Sounds awesome. But, this could be the final Chucky movie. I want to see at least one more, being with Andy
